Through community involvement, networking and teaching Kelli goes beyond the norm by connecting with people, building trust and educating her clients and prospective clients. Kelli is a person who “gets things done” through teamwork, partnerships and relationships. With a passion, enthusiasm, and sincerity she has proven to be a valuable employee, successful business owner, educator and community leader.
Kelli began her career earning a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and her CPA credential with a goal to own a small accounting firm. The best route was to gain experience in public accounting. She joined a small firm right out of college and later accepted a position with KPMG. She later spent a few years in the industry as a staff accountant. Feeling the need to reach out to people and share her knowledge, Kelli took on a second job as a part-time accounting and QuickBooks instructor at a local college in 2010.
It was at this time that Kelli’s career took a turn and she was on the path to entrepreneurship. She became involved with the college and realized that she had a sincere passion for working more closely with small business clients, helping their business to reach it’s potential. Kelli left the corporate world and confidently started her own small firm, became an expert at building business relationships through networking. She took on a leadership role as an ambassador and the Treasurer for the Pewaukee Chamber of Commerce. Her firm was a full service accounting firm for small businesses offering bookkeeping, payroll, QuickBooks set up, financial reports, business and personal income tax, and consulting. Because of her impressive accomplishments and reputation in the community, she was sought out and invited to join a larger local CPA firm in Pewaukee. Kelli merged her firm with theirs in January 2013.
Today, Kelli resides with her husband Brian and daughter Allison in Pewaukee, and is excited about her next opportunity of establishing Belt-Accounting & Tax in the Lake Country area.
